Matt and I finally found a church that we are able to call home, Crossroads of Life in Byram. Well, about three months ago, the youth pastor resigned and moved to a different state. Matt and I had already chaperoned a youth trip with Crossroads and had grown to love the youth. We began to pray that if God had called us to Crossroads for ministry, to show us. Well, after many weeks of prayer and involvement with the youth, the church asked Matt if he would like to come on staff as interim youth minister. Matt and I discussed the opportunity and prayed about. We decided he should take the offer. As of this week, Matthew will be in office each week on Wednesdays and receiving training from our lead pastor. He will lead Wednesday night services and do everything else that comes with youth minister. We are so excited to start this new chapter in our life and see what God does with this opportunity and what it may progress into. We ask that y'all pray for wisdom, guidance, patience, and open hearts as we embark upon this journey.
We love these kids with all of our hearts already and are so thrilled to spend each week with them.
